How to Request a Quote for Replacement Filters: Part Numbers, MOQ, Stock and Shipping — Answered

The questions inside every filter inquiry — part numbers, OEM vs replacement, MOQ, stock and shipping — answered the way we actually handle them at LANTOO.

Almost every inquiry we receive begins the same way: a buyer sends a list of part numbers—covering brands such as Fleetguard, Donaldson, MANN, CAT, JCB, and Cummins—and asks one of the standard questions: Is this an OEM part or a replacement? What is the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)? Is it in stock? Can you ship to my country?
We have compiled the questions that frequently appear in inquiries from distributors, repair shops, and fleet maintenance companies, and we answer them here. The answers below reflect how we actually handle inquiries at LANTOO. After reading this article, you will know exactly what information to prepare before sending an inquiry and what details a reliable supplier should confirm before providing a quote.
This guide covers how to prepare your filter list, what to verify before ordering, and key points to check in a quotation—helping you get accurate quotes faster and avoid ordering errors.

1. Start with Part Numbers

The easiest starting point is usually the existing filter part number or the OEM reference number, such as Fleetguard LF9009, Fleetguard LF14000NN, Fleetguard FS36230, Donaldson P822768, CAT 1R-0762, or JCB 320/B4420 — all covered by our current catalog.
Providing part numbers gives the supplier a much clearer basis for the quote than simply asking for a generic "oil filter" or "fuel filter." Even so, always cross-reference the information against product specifications and actual application scenarios before placing an order.

2. Genuine (Branded) Parts or Replacements?

Both exist in the market, so make your requirement clear in the inquiry — pricing, sourcing channels and shipping arrangements differ between genuine branded parts and replacement parts. In this article, "genuine parts" refers to original branded parts from manufacturers such as Fleetguard or Donaldson; "replacement parts" are new filters produced by independent manufacturers for the same applications.
Replacement filters are our main business. We are aware that some suppliers produce counterfeits that imitate the packaging of major brands — our company strictly refuses to be involved in such practices. If genuine branded parts are what you need, we can also source them through authorized dealers to guarantee authenticity — though this is a supplementary service, not our main focus.

3. What Is the MOQ? Do You Accept Trial Orders?

Our standard MOQ is typically 50–200 units per model, though small orders are common in this industry. Buyers often start with a small trial order to verify quality and compatibility before scaling up to orders of several hundred units per model. Naturally, we offer tiered pricing; for instance, buyers have previously requested quotes for quantities of 100, 300 and 500 units of the same filter model to compare unit prices before placing a final order.

4. Do You Have Stock Available? What Is the Lead Time?

For items currently in stock, the lead time is approximately one week; for bulk production orders, the lead time is 20–30 days.

5. Do You Offer Door-to-Door Shipping (Including Customs Clearance and Taxes)?

We currently offer door-to-door shipping services for select countries, though availability depends on the destination country and current shipping conditions. Please let us know if you require this service when requesting a quote.

6. OEM and Private Label Programs

For distributors looking to build their own filter brands, we offer OEM and private labeling services. Depending on the filter model, supplier, and order volume, options include private labeling (custom branding) and customized packaging.

7. Are You a Trading Company or a Factory?

Given the nature of these products, it is difficult for a single factory to meet every requirement for all types of filters; consequently, most businesses in this sector operate as integrated manufacturing-trading companies or pure trading companies. This is actually a better option for you: we can help you obtain quotes for replacement filters and compare multiple sources to select a supplier that offers the right balance of price, quality, and reliable delivery — often at prices comparable to, or even better than, those offered directly by factories.
